1.2 effective and knowledgable teacher

Before conducting a research project, I provide a pre and post test for my students, assuring them that it will not be graded, it is for them and myself to see and measure their progress on a subject before they research it. In this pre and post test, I ask students if they have ever used databases provided by the school that they can access from the school's library website as welll as what they already know about the use of steroids in schools. In the post-test, they can display what they have learned about the subject as well as demonstrate their familiarity with the databases. This allows me to understand what the students already know and identify who I need to spend more time withs during the lesson. It also allows me and the teacher to see who needs a follow-up after the lesson or a re-teach.
